Sunday Love.

I just hid the rest of the cornmeal porridge in the fridge so little brother can't get to it when he finally wakes up from his hardly deserved slumber of doing absolutely nothing opening cans, taking out the garbage, and lifting heavy things.
I finally learned how to make cornmeal porridge from my mother this morning. Have you had it before? It's delicious. Think...creamy cornmeal, cinnamon, and condensed milk. Recipe coming tomorrow! I haven't posted a recipe in forever and I've actually only posted two simple ones in the past:
Now, moving one...

For the next four days, I'm hosting an eating challenge to help prep me for the beginning of the semester, which starts on Friday.

I'm not sure what to call the challenge yet, but basically I'll be posting all my meals, focusing on eating real foods and lots of raw vegetables and fruits. I'll also be posting and starting my winter exercise schedule. It's always so hard for me to stay on track during the semester so I'm using the next few days to get in the groove.

Here are some links I've been loving lately:
Check 'em out! Happy Sunday :))))))

P.S. My previous blog post? Umm? Yeah, I dunno...

Ooooh, I can't remember the last time I've had cornmeal porridge or as the old people call it cornmeal pap. If it fits in with my points I just might boil up some this week!

Thanks for the throwback!

"Cornmeal Pap": HA! I've never heard that before. What island are you from, Lisa? Lemme know if you do end up making some?

Hi Alexia! Thanks for stopping by my knitting blog : ) I have a weightloss blog Caribbeanmomma but for some reason it won't let me select that profile when posting comments here. It's a new blog so there aren't many posts so far.

I'm from Barbados home of the cou cou and flying fish : )Are you from Jamaica? I thought I saw a pic with some yams/eddoes in it?

Hahahaha, Mizfit. INDEED.

Huh, Lisa. Well, I hope you get problem fixed soon. Yes, JAMAICAN. Hahahahah, you probably did see a yams photo :))))

oh gosh I LOVE CORNMWEAL PORRIDGE!!!! I know this is very Jamaican of me, but I only eat it with crushed Excelcier Water Crackers, lol. Sadly I don't know how to make it myself and everytime I have a craving it makes me miss my mommy... :(
