Wednesday Weigh-In.

I feel much better!  The 's' word is "sick."

Aiiii. Second and third knee scrapes happened yes-ter-day while I was crossing the street. Here’s the first. It ain’t glamorous, folks.


Around twice a week: my body flailing, my boots skidding, and a scream escapes my throat. It’s embarrassing. I really wish I could always blame the wintry ice. I really wish I could.

But anyways, GLAD to be a LOSER:

Last week: 227.2 pounds
Today: 223.2 pounds

That's 4 pounds lost. Hiya!

Highest weight: 236 pounds
Total lost: 12.8 pounds
Goal weight: 150 pounds
Pounds left to lose: 73.2

My goals were:
(1.) Exercise everyday. I'm taking an Ultimate Conditioning class with my gym friend tonight:
I'll give myself an 'E' for 'effort.' I went to the gym last Wednesday and Thursday, counted walking for Friday and Saturday, totally forgot to do anything on Sunday, but then got sick on Monday and Tuesday and decided that my body needed rest. I still have some chest congestion, but I might go to the gym tonight. I'll see how I feel.
(2.) 1200-1500 calories per day I'll give myself an 'N' for 'needs to be better.' Last week, I started counting my calories using an app on my iTouch. But then after being unable to count calories last Friday and Saturday because I ate out celebrating my friend's bday, I totally didn't not get back into the counting calories groove. And the other thing is that I get especially greedy when I'm sick. I think it's comfort eating...I dunno.
(3.) Water! I'm so bad at making sure I get enough so I'm keeping a log. The app (mentioned above) is great because I can keep track of how much water I drink. I'll give myself a 'G' for "good" because I've drank much more water than usual this week. I have to do a whole post on the app. It's called "My Fitness Pal."
(4.) Sleep. I've been getting to bed so late that I feel like death in the morning. I'm going to try for 10-11 p.m. I would give myself an 'H' for horrible, but these past three nights because I've been sick, I've been going to bed really early. It is wonderful.


My numero uno goal for this week is to BEHAVE over the weekend. I’m going away and I know how food happy I get, so I really want to focus on my eating. My gym goal will be 4-5 days, exercise at home or walking the other days, and tracking my eating and water.

Way to go! I hope that your knees feel better, I know how it is to fall in winter.

Once I was going to meet a friend and I feel and ripped my pants in the knees. I had to go to a bathrooms and wear my pants backwards so that I didn't look too odd with ripped dress pants.

Way to go on the four pounds down!

And I can relate with the knees. I usually ding something up inside mine instead of scraping them anymore. I can see my orthopedist rubbing his hand with glee at the thought of getting his scalpel on me. Ick.

Keep at it -- my big thing is telling myself that each good choice eventually adds up. Of course, that means the less-good choices also add up, but I try to keep the balance in the good column ;)
