june goals.

Meet beautiful beautiful, Boo.

He belongs to the family my friend, Amanda,--who turned 23 today!--babysits for...

Both of us don't know about this 23 (growing up) business!

When I suggested we get together before work (we babysit kids who attend the same school), I didn't even realize Amanda was turning 23 until I saw everyone wishing her well on facebook. Fortunately! Or I might have seen her, she might not have said anything, and we would have missed out on celebratory Starbucks...

(That's my drink and Amanda had something cold, thick, and creamy--frappuccino?)

Here's the funny story of how I met Amanda (which is also my older sister's name so it's weird to write when I'm not referring to my sister!): I met her through a friend at a church event a couple months ago, and then the week after I was picking Jasmine up from school when who do I see but Amanda? "I knew I recognized you!" she said. She babysits a boy who goes to the same school as Jasmine and she'd noticed me. Crazy! It's such a small world.

In other news, do you like my new dress?

I can tell it's going to be the dress of summer! Comfortable and feminine... it is a wee bit tight though...I really did think it fit perfectly in the store!

Last summer (when I was skinnier!!!!!) this black one was the dress of summer...Wore it everywhere!

Please note I'm with a celebrity!

June goals.
(or what are we without a plan?)
  • Get back to the gym. Commit to 5 days per week, 1 hr each day.
  • Make it to a weekly OA meeting.
  • Log into food & exercise tracker, my fitness pal, everyday. Tracking is key!
  • Lose 10 pounds...hopefully! (No pressure)
  • Working to practice mindful eating (More about this on Thursday)

Till tomorrow!

those are good goals sexy, just be careful with numbers, try a lb or so a week even 4 down is better than 8 gained! haha :)

I know, Christine!! That's why I'm always tentative about setting weight-loss goals. But for me it's helps to have something to work towards as long as it reasonable and healthy. And and I know my body. Or at least I think I do :) I know that weight-loss success happens simply if I eat alright and exercise regularly to see results.

But I think the balance comes from setting goals, but being able to peaceably accept when things don't go as well as I'd hoped.

Great goals indeed. I agree tracking is so key! I don't know where I'd be without MFP!!!

I think the goals are do-able, and the number of lbs lost is irrelevant--if you concentrate on the other goals, that one is a sure-fire thing to follow and the # will be whatever your body decides it will be. Long as the # is going dowwwnnnn we are golden! I think that is a very cute dress!
