 If you can't tell, I'm sitting in bed with my laptop "Frida" and a mug of green monster. Here's what's in the monster:
- 1 cup plain soymilk (I prefer vanilla flavored, but we're out)
- 2 handfulls of baby spinach, around 2 cups
- 1 banana
- 1 teaspoon flax seeds
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter
- 4 ice cubs 
I love this stuff, especially because baby spinach doesn't have a strong flavor so I mostly taste the peanut butter - banana flavor :)

This summer I felt faint and dizzy in the mornings, so I was prescribed folic acid. I take my anemia seriously because I was hospitalized for severe anemia due to overactive bleeding in my uterus last year. My gynecologist in the hospital said that there was probably a correlation between how much I weighed at the time (236 pounds, my highest known weight) because fat can affect hormones. She suggested I lose a percentage of my weight, which I did and I'm still weight-losing. And my uterus has been fine ever since.

But back to this summer: I don't know why I was a little anemic, but I choose not to take the folic acid prescription. Instead, I started drinking green monsters and soon I didn't feel like I was going to topple over in the mornings.

Green monsters usually scare me, but yours looks so pretty and drink-worthy. As for folic acid, I know I'm waaaay ahead of your scheduling, but if you ever decide to have a baby, folic acid is SO important in the first few weeks of gestation, maybe even before you even know you're pregnant. So uh, just sayin'. Because it prevents spina bifida. Eat your folic acid, yo!
