I hate late nights.

There, I said it.
Every once in a while, in a sudden burst of ambition, a dash of madness, and two or six scoops of procrastination, I'll decide to pull an all nighter on nights like tonight.

True story: All nighters make me want to cry.

In fact, hardly anything within my control makes me more unhappy. If I had to choose between this or an unlimited supply of this and my sleep, I'd pick my sleep hands down. I love that stuff!

True story: I overeat when I pull an all nighter. I'm so sad at being awake while Vex Kitty is snoring...while sleeping on MY PILLOW that I make excuses to eat.

I mean, I have to nourish myself while I'm studying? Maybe food will give me energy to stay up? I think I spied popcorn in the cupboard earlier?

Those are the kinds of greedy questions my brain asks. And then the next scene is me groggy from too much food.

So it's after 4 a.m. and in a little I'm going to head to bed. I'm going to move Selfish Vex Kitty a little so I can get some pillow space and dream about this woman, her fabulous hairpiece and all.

Tell me, do you get enough sleep?

I crave more sleep. But I think it's something I have to earn by planning ahead, keeping organized, waking early, etc.

I'm not a morning person either, but I prefer waking up grateful and well rested over going to bed really late and waking up you know who. It's better for my peace of mind I think. I've been feeling so unfocused lately and I know it has much to do with my poor sleeping habits.

When I wake up I'm dusting off my planner, looking for my alarm clock under my bed, and telling Vex Kitty that my pillow is MINE. Tonight I'm going to bed at 9 p.m. Wait, who am I kidding? I'll say 10 p.m. Umm, 11 p.m.?

I'll let y'all know how it goes :)

P.S. - Don't forget to help me name my afro/giveaway!

My cat snores too...yes, enough sleep is always important. I find if I have insomnia or am staying up late, the next day I'm really sluggish, and falling asleep and catnapping everywhere. Not good if I have to be compos mentis for meetings!

Am sending you 'sleep, delicious sleep, go to bed early' vibes ;)

I do now but spent years not getting enough. It really does help to set up a regular bed time...

- Ariel, you make it up for 6 a.m.? My body has a youmustbejokingifyouthinki'mgonnawakeupwhenihaven'tenoughsleep contract.
- Pinkvision, it's the cutest thing that they snore, yes? Thanks.
- Katie, yes, it helps ALOT. My goal is to set up a regular bed time.
