Wednesday Weigh-In.

Fact #1: last night was my first time back at the gym since the first week of January. Took all of last week off for the longest headcold I have ever endured. Goodbye chest congestion and pounding headache!! Goodbye hacking coughs and cold medicine!! Don't let the door hit ya on the way out!!

Yesterday's gym time was a Hot Pilates class I really loved. I took a couple Hot Pilates classes last year and didn't think much of it. But yesterday's class was a great combination of challenging and a great instructor. I have plans to go back next week. I like how Pilates makes my body feel. And on tonight's agenda, I have an hour on the elliptical planned.

Fact #2: This weekend I ate more vegetables, fruits, and just fresh real food than I have eaten in forever. Remember the snow?
Basically I went away to babysit: they were having a leadership retreat for my church at a spot upstate--Black Rock Forest Lodge--and my friend, Julieta, and I were asked to come along to babysit some of the leader's kids while they were in their training sessions. Lemme say...the cook there--a former restaurateur from our church--totally reminded me that I need to eat better. The food was flawless in my mind and vegetables and beans were the heart of every dish.

She did something with tomatoes and curry that I am still thinking of. Lemme say...last weekend I was more regular than I ever am in real life if you know what I'm saying. Real food will do that to ya! Today I had a bowl of raw arugula with my curry and honestly I don't know why it's so hard to me to eat better. I'm almost ashamed to admit that I love vegetables. Like violently.

Fact #3: I gained this week, which I totally understandable since I only exercised last night and had been feeling like eating my feelings to help with the pounding headACHE. The other thing is that while babysitting this weekend, I was surrounded by kiddie snacks galore.

I was in heaven...errr, I mean hell. I almost cried when a two-year-old took my juicebox--which I put down to rest after a few sips--after he'd finished his. When I realized he was finishing mine, he announced and used his fingers to express that he had had two juice boxes: his and now mine. Ahhhhh. And then later when Julieta and I were changing his diaper he announced, "Hurry up man!!"

Last week: 223.2 pounds
Today: 225 pounds

Gain: 1.8 pounds

Highest weight: 236 pounds
Total lost: 11 pounds
Goal weight: 150 pounds
Pounds left to lose: 75

I'm hoping to lose the pounds I gained and more next Wednesday. Will be using my fitness pal to track water and food. Tracking IS key and it is also my weakness. Also will continue using gym. It is crazy crowded with all the January joiners, but it's motivating to see everyone out and about, taking their fitness goals seriously...for now. Hope everyone is well!

That's funny - Hurry up, man!
He's got places to go and things to do, eh?

We were debating who would have the pleasure of wiping him up. Let's just say he had quite an epic experience in his pamper. So Julieta was like, "here you've got it." And I was like, "nah it's okay. you've got it." So then he was like, "Hurry up, man!" HA! He must have heard it somewhere.
